How it all began
The idea for “The Sunset Crew” is based on an observation: despite a large and varied offer, it is still difficult to find modern & stylish men’s pyjamas.
A few years ago, our founder was looking for a pyjamas as a present for her husband.
She went to a local store specialising in underwear and sleepwear, and was confronted with a large choice, but which did not really match her taste - for things that are minimalist and high quality.
This experience sparked the initial idea of creating the men's pyjamas she could not find anywhere (and that her husband would enjoy wearing...).
It took some time for the project to become alive, but the vision was clear from the very beginning.
What she did not want: buttons, collars, pockets, itchy tags and labels, checks & stripes.
What she wanted: comfort, natural fibers, plain & unisex colours, contemporary cuts.
The kind of homewear in which a man can feel relaxed, stylish and cool, and in which he dares
to open the door to the postman or neighbour.
Our founder, Astrid, grew up in Berlin, went to study in Paris & London, and moved to Luxembourg, where she still lives, for her first job 15 years ago.
After a first career in TV & radio, she took all her courage and went on an entrepreneurial adventure, following one of her passions since forever: fashion.
She loves traveling, sunsets and her friends & family, who are her biggest inspiration and who actively contribute to The Sunset Crew adventure.
